The Miracle of Sight

I'm taking a few days off from the computer, for the most part.

I managed to jab one of my eyes with a fingernail on Friday morning. My eye is healing but it's still quite red. A very upsetting experience.

I'm trying not to do too much with my eyes for now. Such a weird little accident to happen. I've never done anything like this before. It's made me appreciate in a significant way, the miracle of sight. And how we usually take it for granted, at least I have.

Have a great week.

Let your mind imagine what you are not seeing and relax those shoulders

Dear Geraldine,
I have finally found a chance to use B's computer while she's in the shower, and must send my best wishes to you. We're both sorry that your eye is sore, and hope you are on the road to recovery.
We find that catnaps are always a good way to heal.
Cheers!
Headbonks!
Please give our regards to Mr. Cheddar!

it happened to me a few time, just the sort of thing you thought would never happen...

I hope you are better now and getting lots of rest.

Oh my, hope you're feeling better soon. Isn't it crazy the things we do to oursleves? I bit my tongue so hard recently that it bled for hours and I ended up puting some kind of canker sore treatment cos it would not heal. Probably cos I kept biting it over and over. lol

Thank you all for your kind comments.

My eye is getting better by the day but still a ways to go before it's all back to normal.

I still don't know how I managed to do this but it's a wake up call to be more careful. Clipped my fingernails very short too!

It made me feel better to read that I'm not the only one that has done something like this. I felt so stupid when this happened.

I'm limiting my time online drastically to avoid eye strain. I'll be around to visit as soon as I can.

Hugs, G

Hi Joe, It certainly was. Glad the healing has been so quick.

Hi Brenda, Just a tiny speck of red still showing in my eye this morning, the worst is definitely over. Thanks for checking back, I appreciate that.

Hi Tulka, So nice of you to stop in and thanks for your kinds words.

Hi Brian, Ahhh Matie!!! I don't think an eye patch would look as good on me as on you. ;<) Ive been staying indoors and keeping the shades partially closed, for this past week, to keep the glare down. I think the worst is definitely behind me.

Thanks so much for your kind words and healing thoughts. All appreciated, G
