Rest Awhile...

Rest awhile.
Far from the struggles and strains of life.
Find that place and seal it in your heart.
To pause; retreat to.
Where grace always dwells.

Rest awhile.
Put back the smile.
Somewhere lost.
Now: softly, silently returned.

Rest awhile.
Peace:
A beacon in the dark.
Sheltered, nurturing.
Safe and sublime.

Rest awhile.
Treasured moments.
Tranquil dawns.
May your tomorrows.
Outlive life’s storms.

Geraldine,
This is a very beautiful poem, one of my favourites of yours. I find it makes me feel more calm from reading it.
You have a lovely gift with words, as well, as being a kind person.
Hugs,
Brenda

Hi SandyL, Thanks Sandy, I appreciate your kind words.

Hi Gillena, Thanks so much.

Hi Joe, It makes me feel tranquil too. The photo does as well. I love this photo.

Hi Brenda, What a lovely comment, thanks so much.I was lucky to find that swan pic at Flickr a long time ago. Do you have a flickr acct. btw? It's very handy for finding photos if you need something in particular for a post and don't have one of your own. I've enjoyed flickr for many years. It's free too!

Hi Brian, That's nice to read. Lorraine is a lovely person. I wish her lots of happiness to come and soon.

Happy Week, G
