Word of the Week:Change

"Change is the only thing that makes life happen."

“It is possible for everything and nothing to change,  all in a single moment.”

A couple of quotes I wrote myself, over the years.

Change is necessary in life, even if it's something that can be scary at times.

Without change, life can become stagnant, repetitious and boring.

With Autumn's changing scene finally showing up, here in Interior BC; I thought it was a good time to once again reflect on the power of change.

Here's to good changes, new beginnings and interesting challenges.
It keeps things fresh, doesn't it? :<)

Wishing You a Very Happy Week!

The quotes are so true. Everything changes and we need change to move life forward. Love the photo too, excellent.

Hi,
Geraldine,
This is a great photo, and I'm glad to hear that you are getting some autumn colours in your landscape.
I always love the way everything seems brighter, with fall colours, and also I love the smell of the autumn leaves on the ground.

True, sometimes it seems that everything has changed, but there is a sense that it also hasn't changed (possibly from a more holistic, or longterm perspective) I think we can see it in political trends, society, fashion, the economy, history, and in so many other aspects to human culture.

This was a good quote.

An excellent word of the week, one I will reflect on myself this week.

Here's to healthy changes!
Brenda

Isn't it funny how humans complain about being stuck in a rut, yet they are scared to death to change?
Hi Geraldine and Mr Cheddar!

Another great post G. Small changes and big changes will always be with us, it's how we handle them that makes the difference.

Hi Lorraine, I agree.

Hi Joe, I love this photo too. It was hard to tell how it would turn out, when I actually took it. LOL And indeed, everything does change and it's necessary to move life forward.

Hi Brenda, The smell of Autumn...fireplaces burning, leaves drying...it is something often not mentioned but special about this season too. I'm glad you enjoyed this post.

Hi Rumpy, So very true. I find change scary but at the same time, I know it's inevitable and it can be a very good thing. Headbonks from the Ched to all your gang!

Hi Teri, You nailed it Teri. How we handle change is what makes all the difference.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. BFN, G :<)

change is tough. change means death, like those leaves. but they are beautiful leaves, and we must all die. change is indeed life.
have a great week, too:)

G, wonderful photo and great post!
Life is always changing and some changes are not easy but it's best to embrace the changes!

CHANGE

If you feel you need
a change
I know a simple
thing to do...
Shut your eyes, then
open them
And take a
different
point of
view ...

Have a lovely week, G.

I've read somewhere that the only certainty in life is that everything changes. And I can say, that's true. Moreover, resisting change causes pain - therefore it is so important to be able to go with the flow (of change). Petr

Perfect! Change keeps us on our toes. Hey, that is a good photo.

Hi Ed, Change can be very tough, I agree and it is an end/death to one thing/situation etc...before something else happens, in many cases. But life is all about change, I agree.

Hi Margie, Oh, how nice. Love your poem, thank you! It's so great to have you back. You've been missed!

Hi Petr, That really does sum it up, thanks for this thoughtful comment.

Hi SandyL, About the photo, it really didn't look all that great as I peered at the ground LOL, but as you will probably agree, sometimes what looks like a great photo, isn't and vice versa. I love this photo too and the colors are not enhanced, that's how it came out when I uploaded it from my camera, on to my computer. Or is that download LOL?? And I like what you say about change keeping us on our toes. Indeed.

I also read an interesting quote in a book I'm just starting to read: "change is the master key" I like that one too.

Happy Week and thanks so much for your comments, always appreciated,G

yes, change is good sometimes but I've always hope for good change while trying not to change. guess I have an aversion to change but only some of the times.

hope you're having wonderful weather where you are.

Hi Geraldine, This is Herbert and Arthur, We're hoping the Chedster, might read this too.
B mentioned the Ched thinks we should take photos of each other, while she's at work, and she could post some. Well we'll see. We've never used her camera. Does the Ched have any tips for good pictures, etc.?

Good work, Mr. Ched, keep up the bug hunting!
Glad to hear you're finding lots of good bugs to eat!

Talking about eating, B is planning, this weekend, to buy the new kibble you wrote about in your remarkably interesting review over at your Meowmies, review blog! How cool is that!!

Bye for now Fearless Bug Warrior and friend,
Headbonks x 2,

Headbonks to your Meowmie too!
H and A

You have me thinking, my friend. So good to be here after a cold week.

Hi Lissa, It's kind of chilly here today but no snow so far. I'm waiting for the snow, I love it. I agree, change can be scary but it's necessary too.

Hi Brenda, Arthur, Herbert, The Ched certainly thinks you are both up to the challenge of taking some photos. Make sure the batteries are thoroughly "juiced up" though. And do enjoy the Taste of the Wild. Ched's new fav.

Hi SandyC, I hope all is well in CT and that power has been fully restored. Sounds like it was quite a week on the East Coast.

Happy Weekend, G
