Word of the Week: Nurture

"Yes, the grass frequently appears greener on the other side of the fence.
But in reality the grass is greenest where it gets watered the most.”
– Dan Miller

I noted this quote recently; shared over at the Positivity Blog (one of my fav stops online each week) and thought it tied in perfectly with this week's word.

If we don't take the time and make the effort to nurture ourselves and those we care about, we are missing out in so many ways.  Opportunities to grow ourselves, sometimes in unexpected ways. And to feel good about helping others to thrive and evolve too.

Wishing You a Wonderful Week.

And one that truly nurtures your mind and spirit. :<)

This is an interesting twist on an old sentiment, and true I think. Thanks for the perspective, it's always good to think about something in a new way.
I also love the photograph!

The photo brings nurturing to mind. It looks like the plants are just getting a good start here. It's true, we do need to nurture ourselves and those we care about too. It can make a big difference.

So true. And if the other side takes better care, then of course the grass is greener there.

I know Geraldine ... nurturing one's self is often last on the "to do" list. Thank you for this reminder.

Hi Brenda, I really liked this post. It was the "right time" for me to read it when I did too. I love this photo too. It's not grass but it does look like the start of a nice "patch" :<)

Hi Joe, It certainly can and does make a big difference.

Hi SandyC, Ahhh...yes!

Hi Deb, Great to see you again and so glad you enjoyed this post.

Hi Lorraine, Oh, I'm so glad your pkg arrived quickly. CP can definitely take forever nationally at times it seems. I'm waiting for several "goodies" to arrive here and they are taking forever. I'm so glad the kibble from Ched passed the "spit up" test too LOL. Sometimes when Ched gets a new type he really likes, he "loses" the first round and then he slows down. Headbonks to the whole gang and a hug to you my dear. I'm so glad you shared your personal pic recently too. You are beautiful.

Hugs and Happy Tuesday, G

It is important to nurture ourselves where we are rather than adopting that attitude that if we get here or get there things will be better and neglecting ourselves in the process. Love the flower!
