Crying. It's kind of a funny topic to broach at a happiness blog, I guess.
But in reality, crying can go a long way towards improving a person's mood and even their health. It's really an interesting concept I think; to consider all the aspects and ramifications of this emotionally-charged life process/bodily function.
I did an online search one day last week about the benefits of crying and found a LOT of information about this topic. Yes, I was having a difficult day. No, I didn't actually cry about it.Reading through these articles took my mind off other things though, so that was a plus.
Here is one of the more interesting and informative crying posts from: Divine Caroline.
In the past few years, I haven't cried all that much. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe, I've just tried harder to "hold things in" when I'm sad or depressed. According to many articles though, letting go and having a real good cry is often the better way to deal with a stressful event,day.....
Do you often cry often and does it help to cope?
(If it's not too personal to share.)

Yes, I have heard this before.
May your evening go better than your day!
Geraldine,
I do believe that crying can help us to release toxins from our bodies and that for small children it can be a good thing, and help them sleep.
I sometimes cry for a sad movie or book, and know that I feel better...especially if I've been holding in things which have distressed me.
Of course walking is another good rememdy for stress as well.:)
I hope you're feeling better this week!

a bridge

__The bridge is a crossing... a change of place, seeing the brook from either side; these tears of gladness, or the tears sadness.

Hi Sandy, It was a few days ago when I wrote this and yes, I am feeling better now, thank you.
Hi Brenda, I think crying helps all of us. The part about releasing toxins I found fascinating, I did not realize that happened when we cry. I totally agree about walking too.
Hi Magyar, Words of wisdom. So true...thank you.
Hugs (good for us too!) G :<)
some wise man told a friend of mine that people too scared to cry don't deserve the tears. they are sacramental in so many ways. wonderful post.
I'm one those that cries easily so, just that mean I'm doing myself some good? I don't know. but watching a sad movie and crying isn't such a bad thing, I don't know.
hope you're having a good week.
