There are Positive Messages Everywhere...

...even on building walls.

Even though I'm not a fan of graffiti in most cases (this one looked like chalk though, so easy to remove) I did like this example I saw recently:

What positive messages did you note during your week?

re·sil·ience
n.
1. The ability to recover quickly from illness, change, or misfortune; buoyancy.
2. The property of a material that enables it to resume its original shape or position after being bent, stretched, or compressed; elasticity.

PS: I made some updates at my other blogs today. If you like haiku poetry, you might also enjoying stopping by over at My Poetic Path. A lucky talisman poem awaits!

I like this sign, Geraldine.
Resilience is a good thought.

For me right now some positive messages are the birds returning.
Last Saturday, I saw my first robin of the season - there it was on someone's front lawn, and I just felt such happiness and gratitude for this bird's pluckiness at flying such a distance.

And yesterday when on the bus as it passed the lake, I saw the seagulls were swooping joyfully on updrifts of air. It was very windy, with abit of cold weather moving in (it snowed overnight), and the birds seemed to delight in the wind.

So although these aren't human made signs - for me they were very positive.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Brenda

You know I love seeing my signs on walls. One of my favourite past times is to look for them. Resilience really is a beautiful word!

Let's see, no positive messages today...had an argument with my bank, lost my sketchbook, attended a boring party...so I guess my positive message is...'tomorrow is another day'.
But I love your positive message.

Hi Brenda, What a lovely comment! I love seeing the "first" robin too, that happened about a week ago here. I hope they've all found a dry spot today though, it's raining buckets!

Hi Sel, You have shared a lot of interesting street art on your blog, that I like the murals and such. I don't like when people deface buildings and the owners are on the hook to clean it up! Especially with four letter words. But good ones, like this yes...that was a nice word to ponder, passing by this wall.

Hi Teri, You always seem like such a positive person, I'm sure you will have a much better day today and put the annoyances of yesterday well behind. Sending positive vibes your way and hugs to the doggies!

Hi Cathy, Sounds great! I remember the daffodils on the boulevards in Toronto when I lived there, they seemed so early in arriving, for a person who had only just left the Prairies for the first time. I hope you have lots more color and signs of spring coming this week.

Happy Weekend, G

Just wanted you to know what a wonderfully creative day this has been. Worth the hassles yesterday. It must have been that resilient word of yours. Thanks.

Hope you're staying dry too Ger!
We've had LOTS of snow here over the past 24 hours, and it's started snowing again, so I hope our robins are keeping warm.
Hope you're enjoying a good weekend!

This is a good word to think about. One has to be resilient to make the best of each day. Not letting things get to you.

Hi Teri, How nice of you to come back and share this, thank you! I hope the good vibes and this positive word helped. I just re-read the definition today. It's going to be my "mantra" for this upcoming week.

Hi Brenda, I miss all the snow of the Prairies, amazing but true. Enjoy all the fluffy white stuff, ok!

Hi Tammie, Spring IS a very hopeful and positive time, isn't it and for so many reasons. I love Easter too and all that it represents, and that's just around the corner too. Thanks for all your positive posts and comments, love it!

Hi Joe,Somedays it can be so easy to get down and keep heading that way but it's never a good thing. I'm working on staying positive and focused on the more "challenging" days too and it really does help. As the saying goes: this too shall pass.

Happy Week, G
